Installation & Field Services
TTT technology. Backed by real-world fabrication and installation capability.
Tuff Tube Transition provides the patented connection technology. Viking Vessel Services provides the code-qualified fabrication, welding, quality and field capabilities to support TTT projects when customers need more than component supply.
From replacement-header fabrication to field tube alterations and installation support, Viking gives TTT customers a practical route from engineered solution to completed project.
One technology — complete project support
From component solution to completed project.
TTT can be supplied as a patented component solution, but some projects require engineering coordination, fabrication, qualified welding, inspection, documentation and field installation.
That is where Viking Vessel Services adds value.

Engineering & Project Support
Project review, engineering coordination and TTT application support.
Fabrication & Qualified Welding
Replacement-header fabrication, power piping and qualified welding.
Quality & Inspection
Quality control, inspection support and project documentation.
Field Services & Installation
TTT installation, industrial boiler/HRSG work and plant field services.
Code-qualified capability
Code-qualified fabrication & alteration capability.
For TTT and HRSG work, the two most relevant Viking authorizations are its ASME Section I S Certificate of Authorization and its National Board R Certificate of Authorization.

ASME Section I — S Authorization
Viking holds an ASME S authorization supporting applicable Section I boiler, HRSG and power-piping manufacturing work, including replacement-header and pressure-part manufacture where the project requires Section I Code manufacture.

National Board — R Certificate
Viking also holds a National Board R Certificate of Authorization for repairs and alterations performed in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC). TTT field tube work that is classified as an alteration is performed within the applicable R-alteration process, with the project-specific Code/NBIC documentation route determined by the scope of work, original construction Code, Inspector and jurisdictional requirements.
Replacement header projects
The applicable certification and documentation route depends on the project scope. Replacement pressure parts may be manufactured under the applicable ASME Section I authorization, while NBIC repair/alteration projects may also involve replacement-part fabrication and R-form documentation where permitted by the applicable Code/NBIC requirements.
Viking's combination of S and R capabilities gives TTT projects flexibility across both new Section I manufacture and in-service repair/alteration work.
Viking also holds an ASME U authorization for Section VIII pressure-vessel work. It is a current Viking capability but is not central to the TTT/HRSG application.

Replacement header fabrication
From engineered connection to complete header assembly.
For Header Integrity Program projects, Viking can support the fabrication of replacement HRSG header assemblies incorporating Tuff Tube Header Connections (TTHCs), subject to the applicable Code, NBIC, Inspector and jurisdictional requirements.
Integrating the TTHC during controlled fabrication moves critical connection work away from the outage environment and lets the replacement assembly arrive prepared for installation.
TTT field installation
Qualified support for TTHC & TTPS applications.
